Customer Service Reps celebrate Customer Service Week

Customer Service Group has sponsored Customer Service Week for over 30 years. The group has a long history of supporting the customer service industry with tools to train, motivate, recognize, and reward frontline service professionals in all industries.

The group’s current activities include publication of the widely-read digital newsletter Customer Communicator along with over a dozen training kits and stand-alone DVDs.

Central to the group’s work was the development of Customer Service Week. As the service industries leading reward and recognition program, Customer Service Week is now celebrated in all 50 U.S. states and over 60 countries. The event boasts a dedicated website at CSWeek.com and an eNewsletter.

The Customer Service Group was founded as the Customer Service Institute by Warren Blanding. Mr. Blanding was also a founding member of the International Customer Service Association (ICSA) and a frequent speaker at its early conferences and seminars. He is also the author of the landmark publication Customer Service Operations: The Complete Guide.

Mr. Blanding was a leading advocate and sponsor of the first Customer Service Week celebration in 1987.
